This was the view on our first morning on Skye. It had snowed on the Cuillin Mountains, across Locks Eishort and Slapin, the night before, leaving a view like that of powered sugar on chocolate cake. As the sun peeked under the clouds, the snow lit up like white neon. This was taken from the township of Tokavaig, on the Sleat Peninsula, Isle Of Skye, Scotland. The trapezoidal shape on the shore at the left is the remnants of the 400-year-old Dun Scaith Castle. Off to the right, a misty fog rises over the locks.
