It took three attempts over eight years to get here, but I finally made it to Hunt's Mesa, overlooking Monument Valley, on the Navajo Nation, on the border of Arizona and Utah. This is an example of the images I'd hoped to take once I arrived here. The weather was perfect (except the overnight thunderstorms) in mid-September, 2026. The view of shadows cast by the setting sun on the red rocks was breath taking.
