This view from the Toroweap Overlook, in the far western portion of the Grand Canyon, is one of the best vantage points to see the Colorado River. Here, you can see the largest rapids in the Grand Canyon National Park and on the south side of the canyon, million-year-old lava flows and black cinder cones can be seen. If you get a chance, it's worth the effort to get there.
