Lightning strikes the south rim in the distance, as a monsoon storm passes over the Grand Canyon in August, 2014. Catching lightning in these circumstances was difficult due to the sheet and sheets of rain, obscuring the lightning. This was taken from Bright Angel Point. In the far distance, on the left, is Red Butte.
